The Club has a thriving youth section competing in track and field and cross country.

We take athletes from 9 years old and have produced many successful athletes from our youth section including Jason Gardener, the European 60 metres champion who joined us at 12 years of age. We have qualified coaches in most track and field events, although we would always welcome more.

The young athletes train twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Tuesdays we train at the track at Bath University and all ages start at 6.30pm (Oct to end of March) and 7pm (April to end of Sept. Winter indoor training is on Thursdays at King Edward's School at the bottom of North Road. It will commence on Thursday October 7th at 7.30pm. This replaces the track and field training on the track on Thursdays. For young athletes, training runs from 7.30 to 8.30 and for senior and selected athletes from 7.30 to 9pm. Cost for all is £1. Tuesday training remains at the University. New members welcome.

Further details available from the coach.

The club competes in the NYAL (formerly McDonald's) Young Athletes League for boys and girls aged 11 to 16, the Avon League for everyone and the South West League for everyone. In addition the Club stages open meetings in conjunction with Bristol A.C. and Yate & District A.C. which cover all events between them. There are also the county championships and for those good enough the regional and national championships.
